Leadership and excellence on and off the field
A native of Southern Ohio, Coach Prose graduated from and played football at Ohio Wesleyan University before moving to Connecticut. He helped start the football program at RHAM High School with Head Coach Tom Hammon in the early 2000s. In 2007, Prose took a job as a social studies teacher at Windham High School and joined the program as defensive coordinator shortly thereafter. In 2015, Coach Prose took over as Head Coach after the retirement of legendary Coach Brian Crudden.
A Windham High School and Southern Connecticut State University graduate. Served under Coach Brian Crudden and brings decades of experience to the program. Haggerty also serves as baseball head coach and coached wrestling with Crudden.
A former Whippet who played under Coach Brian Crudden in the 2000s. Mangual has been on staff for nearly a decade and also serves as girls' basketball head coach. He brings a player's perspective to building dominant defenses.
A Windham graduate who played under Coach Crudden. Labbe is a defensive specialist who works hard on defensive game play and is known as the "eye in the sky" during games. He has helped develop young athletes in town through the Windham Youth Program. His son, Brody Labbe, was an all-league QB on the 2014 playoff team.
Cruz played for Crudden in the early 2000s as the program transitioned from the CCC to the ECC. A Windham graduate, Cruz coaches running backs and currently helps develop young athletes in town through the Windham Youth Program. His son, Julian Cruz, was a starter on the 2022 playoff team.
Wells was an all-state player at Hall High School in West Hartford, CT and played collegiately at Southern Connecticut State. He joined the Windham staff in 2022 and teaches social studies at Windham High School. During the spring, Wells serves as the head boys' golf coach.
Volunteer assistant and 2025 graduate of Windham High School. McGuirk was a 4-year player for the Whippets and currently studies at the University of Connecticut.
